If you are estimating the distance to targets and want a more accurate method, one of Opti-Logic’s archery series of rangefinders may be the answer for you. Focussing on the needs of the archer Optilogic have introduced rangefinders that are able to measure either line of sight distance or both line of sight and true horizontal distance in the XT models.

What's the difference? Line of sight distance is the distance from the rangefinder to the target. Horizontal distance is the distance from the rangefinder to a point horizontal to the rangefinder directly above or below the target.

What does it mean? For fieldwork, it means aiming the XT rangefinder at a target above or below your position and getting the true distance that you need to calculate your trajectory.

No guesses, no mental computations, no counting your fingers and toes. Just read the distance on the XTs external readout and aim accordingly.

Both the XL and XT have the same targeting system, with an invisible near infrared laser beam used to measure the distance and a red dot in the view finder to let you pinpoint what you are aiming at. Push the trigger

button, place the dot on the target and release to measure a distance.
